Everyday Hazards, Front Office Safety, and More: Oct. 1–15 Roundup

Editor's Note

School safety conversations often focus on threats, security technology, and emergency response. But some of the risks schools face are much more ordinary, involving classroom equipment, aging buildings, and other features of the environments students and staff use every day.

Several of our latest articles examine these often-overlooked hazards, including insights from school safety practitioners on identifying risks before someone gets hurt. We're also looking at how districts can better prepare front office employees, new federal guidance on swatting threats, behavioral threat assessment developments, and student well-being.

As always, thank you for reading and for the work you do to keep your school communities safe.
